Chrissy Adamczyk - President & Co-Founder

Chrissy Adamczyk is the President of RYZON REFUGE, where she leads community service efforts focused on supporting mothers and children in need. With a wealth of experience in various nonprofits, she passionately advocates to address unmet needs within the community. Her extensive background includes organizing fundraising campaigns, mentoring, and more. Fueled by faith, she is wholeheartedly devoted to making a positive impact in the lives of those she serves.


Life Verse: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17 EVS

Brett Scott - Vice President & Pastoral Care

Brett Scott retired after 40 years in IT leadership. He is a Seminary graduate and is extremely passionate about teaching the Word of God in various places, including through community service initiatives like RYZON REFUGE. 


Life Verse: "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."  Romans 12: 1-2 NIV

Trish Rosenthal- Secretary

Trish Rosenthal has over 25 years of business experience, is retired from the State of Arizona, and is a dedicated small business owner. Trish loves serving God and actively engages in community service, demonstrating His love to others through initiatives like RYZON REFUGE. 


Life Verse: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Kerri Pumphrey- Board Member

Kerri Pumphrey is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who has a deep commitment to community service. As a Sales Associate with Peace Sotheby’s International Realty, she is honored to serve her clients. Her lifelong passion for helping others has led her from mission work to fundraising and outreach, including her support for RYZON REFUGE. Kerri’s heart for women rebuilding their lives beautifully reflects our mission.

Sally Westover - Board Member

Sally Westover retired as the COO after 39+ years in the construction industry. She was responsible for all company finances, personnel, and safety during her tenure. Her goal in life is to ensure her heart remains true to God, and her love for others is evident in her home, church, and community service initiatives like RYZON REFUGE.


Life Verse: “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Sherri Lacko - Treasurer

Sherri Lacko retired after 40 years of owning and operating 4 different small businesses. Her life dramatically changed when she surrendered her heart to Jesus in her teen years. As a single mother, she raised her 3 children and understands the challenges and joys of navigating through life. Sherri also dedicated time to community service, supporting various local initiatives, including the RYZON REFUGE, which aims to uplift those in need.


Life Verse: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1

Brenda Ryan - Board Member

Brenda Ryan has dedicated over 30 years to education, social work, and ministry, focusing on community service to uplift those in need. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration and is a Senior Fellow of the Waccamaw American Leadership. Brenda is passionate about empowering, encouraging, and inspiring others, particularly women and children, through initiatives like RYZON REFUGE.


Life Verse: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

Laura Hunter - Co-Founder 1/2023-1/2026

Laura Hunter served as the Vice President of Ryzon Refuge from 1/2023-1/2026. She is an attorney at Strain Law and has several years of experience in the legal, governmental, medical, and corporate fields. Her commitment to community service is evident in her dedication to helping her children and others flourish, as family is a central part of her life.
