Salvation Through Jesus: The Plan of Salvation

Additional Information

Life can be challenging at times. For any struggles you encounter, answers can be found within the Bible teachings. The Bible is God’s Word to us, serving as a handbook for our life’s journey! God desires a relationship with each of us, guiding us through life’s difficulties.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Psalm 34:18

God is holy and without sin, and our sins separate us from Him. However, God sent Jesus, His son, to create a path for a relationship with Him. Jesus is perfect and never sinned, taking upon Himself the payment for our sins by dying on a cross for everyone.

"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

2 Corinthians 5:21

Through Jesus, we have a bridge to heaven and a relationship with our God!

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

John 14:6

To restore our relationship with God, we simply need to accept His free gift of salvation, which is offered to all. We receive this gift the moment we place our trust and faith in Him, believing that Jesus is our Savior. He also promises to send us a helper, the Holy Spirit, to guide us through life.

Here are the beginning steps of choosing a life rooted in the Christian faith:

You must recognize and admit to the sin in your life that separates you from God.

"But all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 NIV

“As it is written: 'There is no one righteous, not even one;' Romans 3:10 NIV

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23 NIV

You must believe that God came to us as Jesus Christ in the flesh, was crucified, died, and was buried as payment for ALL our sins. On the third day, He rose from the dead, showed Himself to many people, and then ascended into heaven. He did this out of His love for us. As a result of that willing sacrifice, He restored our relationship with God, with NO condemnation, closing the gap between us and God.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Romans 3:23-24

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,"

Romans 8:1

Simply accept this free gift of salvation from your sins and begin trusting Jesus completely as your Savior and the Lord of your life!

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved... for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"

Romans 10:9, 13

Just pray this simple prayer, believing in the plan of salvation outlined above to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord:

Dear God, our Heavenly Father, I confess to you all of my sins where I have missed the mark of God’s desire for my life and sinned against others and You. I come to you believing that through your Son Jesus Christ, you came to us here on earth, allowing yourself to be crucified, carrying all my sins and taking them away from me. I believe you were victorious over sin and death by your resurrection from the dead, saving me from all my sins and giving me an unbroken relationship with God the Father! I now trust you as my Savior and as the Lord of my life, desiring to be obedient to you out of my love for you. Amen!
